The Cameroon National Shippers' Council organised an awareness-raising seminar for its staff on “How to Declare Annual Personal Income”, thus demonstrating its commitment to uphold good corporate citizenship.
The key speaker of this seminar held at CNSC's head office on 25 November 2024 was Mr. Herve Brice Loe Essewe, a tax inspector from the Directorate General of Taxation (DGI). His presentation reviewed the scope of this tax reform, tax declaration and payment procedures, the processing and monitoring of non-professional taxpayers, as well as tax audit and litigation procedures. These theoretical notions were substantiated during a hands-on session that allowed CNSC staff to update their account on the DGI tax information system.
This seminar was an initiative by CNSC's General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, aimed at ensuring that CNSC staff become model citizens and DGI ambassadors working for Cameroon's economic development. Mr. Herve Brice Loe Essewe congratulated the CNSC for this commitment and for its ranking among the top 3 state-owned companies with huge potential.
