On 22 August 2023, Mr. Patrice Ekwalla, Service Head at the Douala Maritime Museum, received a team from the Littoral Regional Delegation of Arts and Culture.

 

The team was led by Mrs Elena Milene Stephie, newly appointed Head of the Cultural Heritage and Museums Department at the Regional Delegation of Arts and Culture in Douala.

 

The visit was part of a series of meetings with units in charge of safeguarding and promoting Cameroon's cultural and historical heritage in museums and similar institutions based in the Littoral region.

 

The team held a working session at the Douala Maritime Museum, following which they visited the different exhibitions on display to gain an understanding of the Museum's missions and development prospects.
