H.E. Muhammad Zulqar Nain, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Cameroon, was granted audience today 14 February 2014 in Douala, by Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) and Chairman of the CWEIC HUB for Cameroon, Gabon and Togo.

The visit aimed at laying the groundwork for a collaboration platform between businesses in Bangladesh, an emerging industrial giant, and the business community of Cameroon, a country endowed with natural resources.

After recalling the decades of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, H.E. Muhammad Zulqar Nain presented Bangladesh's needs in terms of imports citing cotton, wood, iron, maize and palm oil. Other products and services the country could export to Cameroon include technology, medicines, fish, electronics, just to name a few.

The meeting was also attended by senior officials of the CNSC and the Bangladeshi High Commissioner's Assistant, Mr. Zounedou Nsangou Mbobo. The visit ended with a tour of the CWEIC HUB for Cameroon, Gabon and Togo, conducted by the Country Director Mr. Etienne Cham Bama. To further underscore the friendship that now exists between the CNSC and the Bangladesh High Commission, H.E. Muhammad Zulqar Nain presented a symbolic gift to CNSC's General Manager, a shirt made in Bangladesh using cotton from Cameroon.
