A delegation from the Union of Cameroonian Enterprises (GECAM) was received in audience today 2 July 2024 by Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC).
This delegation, led by GECAM’s Executive Director Mrs. Aline Mbono, came to present the missions of the grouping formed from the 2023 merger between the Cameroon Employer's Association (GICAM) and Entreprises du Cameroun (ECAM). Discussions at the meeting focused on how to better offer assistance to SMEs and generate funds for the functioning of the employers' association.
Miss Aline Mbono remarked that “this visit to the CNSC is just one of the many visits organised by GECAM, as it seeks to better know its members hoping to strengthen existing partnerships for better collaboration”.
Having laid the basis for closer collaboration in the future, CNSC's General Manager and GECAM's Executive Director discussed the possibility of setting up a cooperation framework to raise awareness among small businesses on the benefits of membership and provide assistance to shippers.
The delegation from GECAM was given a tour of the CWEIC HUB for Cameroon, Gabon and Togo, hosted on the third floor of the CNSC head office building, at the end of the visit.
