Culture and Performing Arts workshop at the Douala Maritime Museum.
The tenth session of the Douala Maritime Museum's "Fun and Educational Holidays" youth programme which held this Wednesday, 10 August, focused on performing arts. The day's cultural activities included singing and drumming, dance and theatre performances. All of these were coordinated by Tété Eboumboum, a literary and performing arts instructor.
The kids first performed a dance routine and staged a choreography of the song "shabasiko". For the second activity which was theatre arts, the kids re-enacted a play entitled "A Slave Like No Other", showcasing their talents as actors and performers, and ended the session with songs and rhythmic drumming.
The eleventh session of the programme is slated for tomorrow 11 August at the Douala Maritime Museum, as from 9:30 a.m.
