CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The official inauguration of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) Hub for Cameroon and Gabon took place today, Wednesday 12 April 2023. The ceremony was presided over by the Governor of the Littoral Region, Mr. Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, in the presence of Lord Jonathan Peter Marland, CWEIC's Chairman. The event was hosted by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), a CWEIC strategic partner, and took place at CNSC's head office building, a state-owned company headed by Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, General Manager.

 

The CWEIC HUB for Cameroon and Gabon is located at the CNSC and will serve as a collaboration platform between the business community of Cameroon and Gabon with other Commonwealth member states.

 

The event, which was attended by administrative authorities and entrepreneurs, was also an opportunity to present the first Country Director of the Cameroon-Gabon CWEIC Hub, Mr. Cham Etienne Bama, currently serving as Sub-Director for Foreign Trade Promotion at the CNSC.

 

For Lord Jonathan Peter Marland, "it is high time for action and this is a step towards achieving the Commonwealth's goal of a better world for future generations". Taking advantage of the rostrum offered to him, Lord Jonathan Peter Marland underlined the strategic role played by the CNSC in the creation of this Hub as well as its commitment to efficiently assist foreign trade actors in their business activities.
