Eager to learn and discover new skills, kids participating in the 6^th session of the Douala Maritime Museum's holiday programme took part in a series of scientific and artistic workshops today, Friday, 22 July 2022.

Mr Kaimo Dieudonné, an instructor in the National Marine Force, took the children into the world of aquatic life, showing them pictures of sea mammals, fish, invertebrates, seafood, marine reptiles and sea birds. These different living creatures of the marine world were all shown to the kids, alongside their unique traits. Particular emphasis was laid on the different marine mammals, freshwater fish, seafood and sea birds. Moving on to the practical phase, the children present at this workshop visited the Museum's aquarium to have a better perception of marine life.

At the end of this journey into the marine world, the children had the opportunity to let their creativity blossom as they took part in a plastic art workshop. While the younger kids were busy colouring, the older ones were taught how to make paper crabs, birds and shrimps by their instructor, Mr Arsene Beyene. The kids had a fun-filled day and the next appointment has been taken for Wednesday, 27 July at the Douala Maritime Museum as from 9:30 a.m.
