CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

 The European Union delegation in Cameroon is organising a "Business week" dubbed Cameroon-EU Business week on the theme "Seizing investment and business opportunities in Cameroon".

The event, taking place from 20 to 22 February at the Yaoundé Conference Centre in the form of a forum, aims to highlight investment and business opportunities in Cameroon for European and Cameroonian investors.

The specific objectives of the forum are to:

  • Launch the "Team Europe Initiative on Investing in Young Businesses in Africa" (TEI-IYBA);
  • Provide a platform for public-private dialogue to further improve the business and investment climate;
  • Present the opportunities and comparative advantages of Cameroon as a strategic investment destination by identifying sectors in which European and Cameroonian investors can engage; and
  • Present the European Union's legal instruments to support the growth of the private sector.

The event, which will be held alongside the PROMOTE International Trade Fair, will feature cross-cutting panel discussions in plenary sessions, thematic panel discussions in parallel sessions, a regional workshop on EDF+ financial instruments and a ceremony to launch TEI-IYBA in Cameroon.
