CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) is a technical partner of the workshop on "Phytosanitary standards and exports of agricultural products to European and African markets" organised by the European Union (EU) in Douala from 18 to 20 June 2025.

In contribution to the Support Programme for Regional Integration and Investment in Central Africa (PAIRIA), this event aims to equip stakeholders in the agri-food and foreign trade sectors with knowledge on sanitary and phytosanitary measures, which have so far been a barrier to the competitiveness of African countries within the framework of Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs).

The expected fallouts of this initiative include increased exports to the European Union, improved technical capacities of the various stakeholders in the field of sanitary and phytosanitary measures, reduced non-compliance, better regional coordination, adoption of the concept of intellectual property by exporters, and dissemination of EPA trade agreements.

The workshop featured presentations by experts from the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), the African Union (AU), the Standards and Quality Agency (ANOR), etc., and was attended by nearly 150 participants from different regions of Cameroon.
