On Tuesday, 12 August 2025, the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) held a second consultation meeting in Douala to address issues encountered by shippers when registering on the Importers and Exporters Computerised File (FIMEX).
Chaired by Mr. Roger Dinh Essombe, Sub-Director for Foreign Trade Promotion at the CNSC, the meeting brought together representatives from the Ministry of Trade, CAMPOST, and the Single Window for Foreign Trade Operations (GUCE).
This session was a follow-up to an initial meeting held in March 2025 and aimed to review the progress made on the recommendations of the March meeting.
Discussions revealed that GUCE will organise a training and awareness campaign on FIMEX registration procedures in November 2025 and February 2026. This campaign will target shippers and administrations involved in the registration process. GUCE also plans to launch a new version of FIMEX incorporating all the required signatures in January 2026.
Other measures include the implementation of a locking system involving all administrations, the appointment of officials from each administration to ensure the effective follow-up of information memos, and the elimination of double registration.
