Theme of the seminar to be organised by the CNSC on 24 and 25 February 2022
The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) will thus launch its programme of seminars/webinars for the year 2022. Considering the current health crisis, the Douala Maritime Museum, the venue of the seminar, will accommodate fifty participants. The other speakers and participants will be expected to participate in the seminar remotely via zoom. The seminar will be conducted in French with simultaneous interpretation into English.
This seminar mainly seeks to inform foreign trade actors on the changes brought about by the 2022 finance law, and to throw some light on the causes of freight rate variations which are likely to further increase living costs. It will also provide participants with an insight on general aspects of foreign trade in Cameroon like shipping costs, customs formalities, tariffs and procedures.
Key speakers of the seminar will include experts of national and international repute in the customs, transit, logistics and transport sectors from UNCTAD, WCO, General Directorate of Customs (DGD), National Institute of Statistics, Cameroon Union of Shipping agents and Ship-owners (UCAM), Shipping Companies (MSC, MAERSK, CMA- CGM), Licensed Customs Brokers (LCB) and Shippers.
