CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The Cameroon National Shippers’ Council is participating in a landmark continental conference dubbed the Africa Maritime Investment Indaba taking place from 6 to 8 November 2024 in Durban, South Africa.

An initiative of the Africa Oceans Council through its President, Commander Tsietsi Mokhele, the conference themed “Unlocking the $3 trillion ocean economy markets” offers a platform to discuss issues relating to the development of Africa’s maritime transport, the competitiveness of its ports, and the valorisation of its underutilized blue economy, in the light of the advent of the African Continental Free Trade Area.

A series of plenary sessions were coordinated by seasoned experts highlighting the issues, challenges and prospects for the connectivity of African ports and the development of its shipping industry.

Conscious of the impact these discussions have on the activities of shippers, the CNSC sees the conference as an opportunity to better understand the current and future concerns of shippers, with a view to anticipate on solutions in its local context.
