CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Today, 7 March 2025, female staff of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), more commonly known as “CNSC Ladies”, paid a visit to the Douala Central Prison.

This visit was one of the many activities on the solidarity outreach programme of CNSC Ladies directed at female detainees, on the eve of International Women's Day celebrations.

Along with donations of foodstuffs and other basic necessities, CNSC Ladies conveyed on behalf of CNSC's General Manager Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, words of consolation, solidarity and, above all, hope to these women who have been deprived of their liberty.

In return, the female detainees expressed their gratitude and their wish to receive more of such assistance from the CNSC in the future.

On the eve of their visit to the Douala Central Prison, CNSC Ladies had taken to the swimming pool of a nearby hotel for an aqua-aerobics session to help them keep fit.
