The CNSC Garoua-Boulaï Trucker Accommodation Centre, inaugurated in March 2025, was the chosen venue for the ceremony officially launching activities for the celebration of the 41st edition of International Women's Rights Day in Garoua-Boulai.

The ceremony took place on 2 March 2026, and was presided over by the Divisional Officer for Garoua-Boulaï, Mr. Julien Martial Asse, accompanied by the Sub-Divisional Delegate for the Promotion of Women and the Family, as well as the Representative of the Chief of Nganko village.

Formalities gave way to a roundtable discussion, a training workshop and a trade fair held on the site. The women of this town bordering the Central African Republic, seized the opportunity to showcase their skills through the various activities organised.

The different speakers at the event praised the commitment and contribution of women to the development of Garoua-Boulaï. The ceremony ended with a symbolic parade, followed by a visit to the exhibition tents, all in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
