SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Today, 9 April 2025, the premises of the Port of Kribi at Mboro hosted the 10th session of Technical Committee N° 1 of the Ports Community which monitors "Port Facilities and Development” at the Kribi deep-sea port.

 

The session was chaired by the Deputy General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Mr. Younousss Soungui, who was assisted by Mr. Stephane Tagne Simo, Deputy Secretary General of the National Ports Community.

 

The session was attended by public and private administrations, members of the Kribi port community, who appreciated the port’s development projects and latest acquisitions, all geared to boosting its efficiency.

 

A number of other items on the agenda were also addressed. These included awareness-raising campaigns on the Douala-Bangui-Ndjamena and Kribi-Bangui-Ndjamena corridors, and the recommendations of the last CAR-Chad-Cameroon Tripartite Forum. The meeting ended with a visit to the project site of Phase II of the Kribi port extension programme.
