A delegation drawn from 11 member States of the Fédération des Organisations des Femmes Entrepreneures des Etats d'Afrique Centrale (FOFE-AC) was received in audience by the General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, today 22 July 2024.
The delegation, led by Mrs. Jacqueline Tientcheu, President of FOFE-AC, approached the CNSC to request assistance in the implementation of several projects aimed at promoting the ‘Made in Africa’ concept with the advent of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The assistance sought includes trade facilitation initiatives for companies on the one hand, and support for women and young entrepreneurs on the other.
CNSC's General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, congratulated these women on their efforts to unite within a sub-regional federation, and pledged his support and readiness to help FOFE-AC members in their foreign trade endeavours.
The eleven FOFE-AC member States represented at this meeting were the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Angola, Chad, Central African Republic, Congo Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome and Principe, Rwanda, Burundi, Gabon and Cameroon.
