CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

A powerful delegation of senior officials of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) led by Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, CNSC's General Manager and his Deputy, Mr. Younouss Soungui, took part in the traditional ceremony for the presentation of New Year wishes to the Minister of Transport (MINT), Mr. Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe, and his Minister Delegate, Mr. Njoya Zakariaou.

The ceremony took place today, 1 February 2024, at the Yaoundé Conference Centre, and was marked by a speech from the Secretary General of MINT, who used the occasion to give an overview of 2023's key events.

In his speech, Transport Minister Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe set the tone for the new year, and encouraged the CNSC to push ahead with its vast project for the construction of trucker accommodation centres embarked on some ten years ago. These trucker facilities are designed to provide better working conditions for road transporters plying the Douala/Kribi - Ndjamena and Douala/Kribi - Bangui road corridors.
