CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Discussions being held on the occasion of the United Nations Ocean Conference continued on 11 June 2025 at the port of Nice. Over fifty heads of delegation from UN member states took turns to advocate for the protection of the marine world.

Heading Cameroon's delegation to Nice, Mr. Hele Pierre, Minister of the Environment, Nature Protection and Sustainable Development, seized the opportunity to underscore Cameroon's firm commitment to combating ocean pollution and ensuring the sustainable management of marine ecosystems.

In light of its many activities, the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), also present in Nice, has long endorsed the need to protect marine environments that serve as routes for cargo transport by sea. It is worth recalling that close to 98% of Cameroon's foreign trade travels via the seas and oceans, and one of CNSC's key missions is to promote international trade.
