In a press release on 20 December 2021, Cyrus Ngo'o, the Director General of the Port Authority of Douala (PAD), announced the closure of the Douala sea port on 25 December 2021 and 1 January 2022.


The closure notice states that "The port of Douala will be closed from Friday, 24 December 2021 at 00:00 AM to Sunday, 26 December 2021 at 6:00 AM and from Friday, 31 December 2021 at 10:00 PM to Sunday, 2 January 2022 at 0:00 AM. 

 

The release further specifies that this closure does not concern supply boats providing offshore logistics.
