CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Today 20 March 2025, the Douala Ports Community Technical Committee No. 2: “Promotion, Communication and Cooperation”, met in the conference room of the Douala port's Towing Management Services, located within the premises of the Cameroon Shipyard and Industrial Engineering Corporation.

This session was chaired by Mr. Luc Ndob, Head of Communications at the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), and Chairman of the aforementioned Committee. It was attended by representatives of the following administrations and institutions operating in the Douala port area: CAMRAIL, BGFT, GTTC, SNTRC, CNIC, GUCE, CNSC, UCAM, PAD, SYNPPUICAM, BFC, CCIMA and GPAC.

Four points stood out on the agenda: a review of the recommendations from the previous meeting on 12 September 2024; an assessment of promotional activities for the Douala port; an update on promotional activities carried out by the Ports Community; and other matters.

All members of the Ports Community were delighted to see that they were all living up to their commitments to improve visibility through good practices and a more dynamic marketing approach.

At the end of discussions, Committee members agreed to set up a working group to constantly monitor the communication activities of all members and to ensure that they are disseminated and published in real-time on the different websites and communication platforms of the institutions that make up the Ports Community.
