SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) hereby informs Cameroonian, Chadian, Nigerian and Central African foreign trade actors, business persons and road transporters that the Governor of the Far North Region will be presiding over the official inauguration ceremony of the CNSC Far North Regional Office in Kousseri and the CNSC Kousseri Trucker Accommodation Centre on Wednesday, 27 September 2023, starting at 10:00 a.m. prompt.

 

The CNSC Far North Regional Office and Kousseri Trucker Accommodation Centre are located on the Douala/Kribi – N’djamena road corridor, precisely in Kousseri in the Logone and Chari Division, not far from the Ngueli bridge and just 500 metres from N’djamena. These facilities are intended for cross-border traders carrying goods from or bound for landlocked countries, such as the Republic of Chad.

 

Constructed on a surface area measuring 5 hectares, both infrastructures offer comfortable living and working conditions, and guarantee the safety of users and their goods.

Available facilities include:

-             an administrative block;
-             a secured parking lot that can take 200 trucks;
-             a lodging facility with 40 self-contained rooms, an eatery for 60 persons, a health centre, a mosque and a truck maintenance workshop.

 

On the sidelines of this official inauguration ceremony, the Cameroon National Shippers' Council will organise a free access sub-regional seminar for business persons themed "Mastering procedures for the passage of goods through border checkpoints in the Far North Region". The seminar is scheduled to take place at the CNSC Far North Regional Office on Thursday, 28 September 2023, as from 10:00 a.m.
