The General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) hereby informs exporters, Licensed Customs Brokers, freight forwarders and other business persons that, with effect from the date of signature of this release, the deadline for the late submission of Export ECTN documents has been extended from ten (10) to fifteen (15) days after the vessel’s departure.

This change is in response to concerns raised by logistics chain stakeholders during various consultation meetings organised by the CNSC, highlighting the difficulties encountered in obtaining the necessary documents from consignees and the original bill of lading, all required to finalise the ECTN issuance procedure within the initial deadline of ten (10) days after the vessel’s departure.

Additionally, the final validation of the draft ECTN issued for cargo embarkation formalities remains subject to the presentation of the original bill of lading. Shippers are therefore advised not to submit draft copies of the bill of lading in place of the required original document.
