CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

On 13 February 2026, students from the Reference Bilingual Nursery and Primary School in Douala were treated to a guided tour of the Douala Maritime Museum. This educational and fun outing falls in line with festivities to mark the celebration of the 60th Youth Day in Cameroon.

While at the museum, these young visitors viewed the various artefacts of the Douala Maritime Museum, recounting the history of Cameroon and its coastal peoples through objects, texts, paintings, videos, and photographs.

During their visit, the children were also impressed by the ship models that once formed part of Cameroon's naval fleet.  It was with joy that these young visitors experienced the wonders of the Navigation Simulator and the "Storm Room", closely watched by their instructors.
