Samuel Njanga Kondo Ngande elected President

The General Manager of the Cameroon Cardboard, School and Office Equipment Supplies Company (SOCARTO) was elected to this position on Monday, 11 October 2021 at the general assembly meeting the Cameroon Union of Industrialists (SYNDUSTRICAM) that held in the Training Hall of the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) located on the 11th floor of the head office building in Douala. The Minister of Commerce (Mincommerce) was represented at meeting by Mr. Parfait Eppoh.

Mr. Samuel Kondo will be assisted by Mr. Noël Ikoue, Deputy General Manager of CIMENCAM, elected vice-president and Mr. Alain Malong, General Manager of the Alucam /Socatral group, elected honorary president. Mr. Samuel Kondo’s vision is to revitalise the union, making it a credible, active and innovative platform having a meaningful impact on the promotion of Cameroonian industries in line with the National Strategy for Development by 2030.

Beyond this mission, Samuel Kondo has promised to make SYNDUSTRICAM a brainstorming platform. "Our mission is to enable SYNDUSTRICAM to regain its place as a platform for analysis, brainstorming, proposals and recommendations aimed at meeting the expectations of its members in an economic landscape marked by increased competitiveness and endogenous and exogenous effects which significantly impact economic activities,” Samuel Kondo said after his election.

Created in 1950, SYNDUSTRICAM is the pioneer of industrial unionism in Cameroon. It brings together companies from various sectors of activity namely agrifood, import, export, packaging, plastics, metallurgy, etc. Its main mission is to defend the interests of member industries, serve as interlocutor of the industrial sector vis-à-vis government and other business groups.
