The Colmar Exhibition Centre in France is hosting the 12th edition of the Tourism and Economy Fair since 11 November 2021. This year's edition seeks to give new life to tourism activities following the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Douala Maritime Museum is taking part in this event for the 4th consecutive year alongside 150 exhibitors from the Americas, Asia, Europe and Africa. Participants at the event include travel agencies, tour operators and museums and they all have one common interest: making their countries safe destinations for sustainable and responsible tourism.

The Douala Maritime Museum seized this opportunity to have an exhibition stand decorated in the museum's colours. The staff there welcome visitors from all over the world all day long. In addition to sharing information and leaflets, they highly recommend guests at their stand to visit Cameroon and the Douala Maritime Museum.

With technical support from the international NGO, Tourism Without Borders and in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure, the Douala Maritime Museum hosted in January 2020, the 7th International Conference on Responsible and Sustainable Tourism in Cameroon. This forum, jam packed with activities, was a great success.

During yesterday's board meeting of the NGO Tourism Without Borders, the Douala Maritime Museum took stock of its collaboration with the NGO. Tourism Without Borders and other countries present at the 7th International Conference in Cameroon, noted the success of their organization and its positive spinoffs.
