The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) recently organised an awareness raising session for the women’s association called Nouvelles Femmes Dynamiques Africaines (NFDA) on the technical aspects to consider prior to launching a product on the international market. The session, which was attended by about twenty women, was held at the association's head office in Akwa, Douala on Monday, 30 January 2023.
CNSC's delegation was led by the Deputy Director of Assistance to Shippers, Mrs. Oumoul Mamadou. Key presentations by the CNSC were delivered by Mrs. Makasso Armelle, CNSC Service Head for Export Assistance. After giving general information on exports, she enlightened the audience on possible challenges to accessing international markets before emphasiing on the key role the CNSC plays in this regard.
This free training session offered by the CNSC was an excellent opportunity for these businesswomen, representing different SMEs, to better understand the requirements for exporting a product, the importance of being guided through the process and the strategic role played by the CNSC, their partner.
It is noteworthy that this training is perfectly in line with the CNSC's commitment to work with women's associations to better impact local value chains.
