The General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, officially opened the first business-to-business seminar of the year organised by the CNSC today, 30 January 2024.

 

Themed "Provisions of the 2024 Finance Law on tax and customs requirements relating to foreign trade operations", the seminar will help shippers understand the intricacies of the 2024 Finance Law in order to avert any misconceptions that could adversely affect their foreign trade operations. The seminar which was organised at the CNSC head office building in Douala was attended by some 150 participants.

 

Several prominent experts were invited to deliver presentations at this seminar. These experts included Mr. Steve Anya from the Single Window for Foreign Trade Operations (Guce), Mrs. Jeanna Banda from the Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), Mr. Ibrahim Mimche from the Directorate General of Customs (DGD), and others from the CNSC and the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI).

 

Wishing them good health and success in 2024, CNSC's General Manager, overseeing the coordination of the training seminar, reassured participants of his availability for any remarks or suggestions they might love to share with him.

The 2-day seminar ends on Wednesday 31 January 2024.
