CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Delegates from the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) were key speakers during the thematic workshops organised on 28 February 2024 at the OUAGA 2000 Conference Hall on the occasion of the 4th edition of the TRANSLOG AFRICA symposium in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Speaking to an audience from 18 different countries, Mr. Etienne Cham Bama, Technical Adviser No. 1 at the CNSC, delivered a presentation on Sub-theme No. 7 titled "The contribution of the Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) to the attainment of AfCFTA objectives".

Focusing on the importance of the ECTN to public policy, trade facilitation, customs revenue and national security, he demonstrated how much the harmonisation of the ECTN at a continental level and the introduction of Certificates of Origin will speed up the attainment of AfCFTA objectives. The presentation, much applauded by participants, rounded off with a question-and-answer session during which more light was shed on different concerns raised on the subject.

This fourth edition of the TRANSLOG AFRICA international symposium ended today, 29 February, with a ceremony presided over by Mr. Roland Anuuyirtole, Burkina Faso's Minister for Transport, Urban Mobility and Road Safety.

The closing ceremony was attended by Dr Traoré Kassoum, General Manager of the Burkina Faso Shippers' Council and Chairman of the TRANSLOG AFRICA organising committee, who congratulated CNSC's delegates for their insightful contributions and presented them with certificates of participation.
