The new General Secretary of the Union of African Shippers’ Councils (UASC), Mr. Abdourahamane Abba Kafougou, will officially be installed into office on Friday, 11 August 2023 at the Union's headquarter in Douala.
The official installation ceremony, scheduled to take place at Hotel Sawa, will be presided over by the Governor of the Littoral Region, Mr. Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, in the presence of Mr. Abdoulaye Diop, current UASC Chairman and General Manager of the Senegal Shippers’ Council (COSEC).
Hailing from the Republic of Niger, UASC’s newly elected Secretary General is an expert in international trade and business management. He records over 22 years of experience working for the Niger Council of Public Transport Users (CNUT) holding several positions of responsibility including that of Director of the Trade and Transport Facilitation Observatory.
