CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Today, 28 April 2025, staff of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) were briefed on the concepts of burnout, sexual and moral harassment during an awareness-raising session organised as part of activities to mark Worker's Week.

This session took place in the CNSC training hall and was led by Dr Eyoum Christian, a psychiatrist at the Douala Laquintinie Hospital and lecturer in the Faculty of Science at the University of Douala.

The aim was to promote a healthy and friendly working environment, as well as to identify and prevent future workplace conflicts.

At the end of the discussions, staff were able to grasp the concepts of burnout and harassment through expressions of “fear” and “anger”, the overall goal being to promote a sense of solidarity in the workplace.
