As part of the amendment to the SOLAS convention, which came into force in Cameroon since July 1, 2016 under prime ministerial decree No. 2016/2566, the CNSC undertook to set up weighing stations to overcome the lack of weighing bridges in and around the Ports of Douala and Kribi.

The CNSC is working to set up two weighing stations, the first inside the Douala Port, and the second near the Kribi Port.

The total cost of the project is 1,350,000,000 FCFA (one billion three hundred and fifty million)
