CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The year 2023 marks 23 years since the creation of the Advisory Steering Committee of the Port Authority of Douala (CCO'PAD). As a consultative body, CCO'PAD has, over the past 23 years, come up with a total of 105 memos to guarantee the optimal functioning of the Port of Douala.

To celebrate this milestone, CCO'PAD launched a series of activities in Douala today, 8 February 2023. The official ceremony to launch the celebration was presided over by HRH Mveimani Sombo Amba, personal representative of the Minister of Transport and Secretary General at the said ministry. The General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, was among the key figures in attendance.

In commemoration of this anniversary, publications on the activities of CCO'PAD were produced and shared to the public. The main two publications are CCO PAD in 23 lessons (Le CCO'PAD en 23 Leçons) and the Compendium of Memos (Recueil des Avis) made over the past 23 years. As part of the official launch of festivities, the Minister of Transport’s personal representative, HRH Mveimani Sombo Amba, visited the stands of various stakeholders of the port sector.

In the course of the two-day event, participants will be given an insight into the life of the Advisory Steering Committee of the Port Authority of Douala.
