CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Along with other women from different walks of life, female staff of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), the "CNCC Ladies", took part in the grand parade celebrating the 38th edition of the International Women's Rights Day (IWD) in Douala yesterday, 8 March 2023. Taking place at the Besseke Boulevard, the parade was presided over by Mr. Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, Governor of the Littoral Region.

Elegantly and beautifully dressed, with hairstyles to suit the occasion, CNSC's ladies earned admiration and applause as they paraded past the authorities, personalities and the public gathered at the BESSEKE Boulevard to witness the event.

The celebration of International Women's Rights Day in Cameroon was held under the theme: "Uniting to work together". In a bid to align with this theme, CNSC's ladies visited refugee and internally displaced women the day before and organised a training workshop on the manufacture of cleaning products. On the same occasion, they donated materials required for the manufacture of these products with a view to empowering these disadvantaged women.

Today, 9 March 2023, they gathered at the Douala Maritime, River and Lake District for discussions and experience sharing on their respective missions and thus highlighted the involvement of women in the maritime and port sectors.
