The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) is taking part in the 17th African Congress of Business Lawyers (COJA), held from 1 to 3 July 2025 in Dakar, Senegal.
The event, themed “Managing Law Firms and Legal Departments in Africa: Skills, Strategies, Tools of Today and Tomorrow,” focuses on the sustainable transformation of public/private organisations with the added benefit of strategic risk management.
Several experts were invited to the event, including Prof. Abdoulaye Sakho from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Senegal, Mr. Jean-Elisé Gouater, Deputy Manager of a bank in Cameroon, and Mr. Martial Akakpo from SCP Akakpo & Associates in Togo. Among other issues, these experts extensively discussed the training of today's lawyers, the emergence of humanoid lawyers, and the management of legal departments.
Through its participation, the CNSC aims to contribute to the establishment of a robust, harmonized business law system in Africa, tailored to local realities.
