The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) is participating in a Regional Maritime Fund workshop organised by the Maritime Organisation of West and Central Africa (MOWCA) from 19 to 21 November 2024 in Pointe Noire, Republic of Congo.
Holding under the patronage of Congo's Minister of Transport, Civil Aviation and Shipping, Mr. Honore Sayi, the workshop seeks to find effective mechanisms to recover dues meant to finance projects and programs run by MOWCA.
The CNSC is represented at the workshop by Mr. Telesphore Tonye, Sub-Director for Training and International Cooperation; Mrs. Mbassi Eboupeke Bibehe, Service Head for Litigations; and Mr. Roger Yana Yana, Service Head for Legal Affairs.
Discussions during the workshop focused on key issues such as the creation of a digital payment system for port dues payable to the Regional Maritime Fund (RMF), the decarbonization of African ports, and the establishment of Single Windows for port operations.
