On Tuesday, 10 June 2025, the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNCC) received a delegation from the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation at its head office in Douala. This delegation consisted of Miss Laura Garrone (Project Manager) and Miss Mattéo Cordier (Project Manager and representative of GIZ), both accompanied by the Honorary Consul of Germany in Cameroon, Mr. André Kwam.
This working visit, chaired by Mr. Nolga Fernand Douglas, CNSC’s Director for Trade Facilitation and Transports Observatory and representative of the General Manager, who was unable to attend, is part of the monitoring and evaluation mission on the implementation of some measures of the World Trade Organisation Agreement on Trade Facilitation. It also aimed to identify ongoing projects in this area that are eligible for support under the Alliance's support plan for Cameroon.
The discussions highlighted key CNSC achievements in trade facilitation in Cameroon (trucker facilities, statistical publications, trade information portals) and the prospects for cooperation to provide technical or financial assistance to the CNSC.
