Female staff of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) visited some internally displaced women (IDPs), victims of the Anglophone crisis, on 7 March 2024. This was not only to offer them gifts but also to listen to them, share some advice and, put a smile on their faces.
Many of these women lost their husbands and children to the crisis and are trying to get back on their feet despite the hardships of everyday life.
Sponsored by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) and in collaboration with the Littoral Regional Delegation for Women's Empowerment and the Family, nearly 20 women received kits specially adapted to their needs from CNSC ladies.
It was a great moment of communion, solidarity, and sharing in a friendly atmosphere. These internally displaced women were quick to express their gratitude to the CNSC for the generosity shown to them just before the celebration of International Women's Rights Day.
