CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Guided tour

Students of the 5th Form studying German at Fondation Kamtchoum, a secondary school located in the Logbaba neighbourhood of Douala, paid a study visit to the Douala Maritime Museum today, 19 April 2023. They were led on this trip by Mrs. Valerie Leugnou, their teacher and German language instructor.

Far from being an ordinary tour, the aim of this educational outing was to "give the students an insight into the history of German occupation of Cameroon", Mrs. Valerie Leugnou pointed out. It was an opportunity for the students to better assimilate the lessons taught in class through the objects and paintings on display, with the assistance of staff at the Douala Maritime Museum.
