As part of the on-going cross border trade fair (FOTRAC), a one-day seminar themed "Cross-border and trans-national crime" held at the Meyo-Kye sub-divisional office in Gabon on Wednesday August 25, 2021.
The meeting was attended, inter alia, by a strong Cameroonian delegation led by the Sub-Divisional Officer for Kye-Ossi. As a partner institution, the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council was part of the Cameroonian delegation.
The topic of the meeting is in line with the theme of the 12th edition of FOTRAC namely "Boosting intra-regional trade for peace and socio-economic and cultural development of Africa despite COVID-19".
Seminar attendees were educated on the different types of crimes which moreover undermine the principle of the free movement of goods and people in cross-border areas.
The seminar was organised by the Central African Network of Active Women led by Mme. Danielle Nlate in partnership with a Gabonese civil society organisation and GIZ-Cameroon.
