The opportunities offered by AfCFTA for African companies were the focus of discussions held on 11 October 2023 in Douala at the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) by ICC-Cameroon's International Trade Committee.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, CNSC's General Manager and Chairman of the Commission. He was seconded by Mr. Antoine Ndzengue, Vice-Chairman of the Commission.

During the meeting, the members shared information likely to help the Commission run smoothly and also learned about the facilities and opportunities offered by AfCFTA.

Mr. Etienne Cham Bama, Country Director for Cameroon-Gabon and Secretary of the Ad hoc Sub-Committee in charge of implementing the AfCFTA Guided Trade Initiative, chaired by the CNSC, briefed the audience on the opportunities offered to businesses by CWEIC.
