CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Miss Cameroon France, known to her friends as Wabo Myrlande, visited the Douala Maritime Museum (DMM) on Tuesday 24 October 2023 guided by Mr Ekwalla Patrice, Service Head at the DMM.

The visitor was given a complete tour of the building and its exhibitions, including the history of the DMM, Cameroon's maritime history, the culture of the coastal peoples, the compartments of a ship and the new Navigation Simulator recently acquired by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council, promoter of the museum. Satisfied with her discovery, Miss Cameroon France is returning to Europe with the promise of using her reputation to promote the Douala Maritime Museum, the city's main museum and one of its key tourist attractions.

Miss Cameroon France is a concept that has existed in France since 2015 and aims to reconnect young women of Cameroonian origin with the African continent through various outreach activities.

Miss Wabo Myrlande was accompanied on her visit by Madeleine Autet, Promoter of the Miss Cameroon France contest, Josette Nadine Ngo Tonye (Tour Coordinator) and Georges Alexandre (Photographer).
