CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

As a follow-up to the discussions held on 12 May 2025 with the General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, the delegation from the Multimodal Freight Management Office (OGEFREM), currently in Cameroon, paid a working visit from 13 to 14 May 2025 to the port city of Kribi.

The Congolese delegation, led by Mr. Francis Bedy Makhubu, Consultant Director at OGEFREM, and accompanied by senior officials from the CNSC, was granted audience by the Head of the South 2 Customs Sector, Mr. Norbert Belinga, and the General Manager of the Port Authority of Kribi, Mr. Patrice Melom. Discussions at this meeting focused on existing mechanisms to facilitate cargo transit, highlighting Cameroon's contribution to the development of the Kribi-Zongo road corridor (north of the Democratic Republic of Congo), passing through the Central African Republic.

The visit to Kribi ended with a tour of some CNSC offices, notably its South Regional Office and the Lendi cargo warehousing facility. Visibly satisfied with this support from the CNSC, the OGEFREM delegation voiced its optimism for the rapid operationalization of the Kribi-Zongo corridor.
