CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The phrase "Best wishes for the year 2023, Mr. General Manager" was mainly what was heard today, 3 February 2023, on the 11th floor of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) head office building. This was during the ceremony for the presentation of New Year wishes by the staff to Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda and Mr. Younouss Soungui, respectively General Manager and Deputy General Manager of the CNSC. Promoters of culture such as the Ambass Bay dance group “Sawa Moov” and renowned Prince Afo Akom, were guest entertainers at the event.

The Union of African Shippers' Councils (UASC) delegation present at this ceremony was led by Mr. Giscard Lilian Ogoula. He was accompanied by Douala-based representatives of UASC member councils, including the shippers’ councils of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad and the Central African Republic.

Mr. Madjo Ma Madjo Pierre, Director of Administration and Finance, gave a succinct account of CNSC's activities and achievements in the year 2022. Speaking on behalf of the entire staff body, he thanked CNSC's Management for all its efforts towards guaranteeing the well-being and contentment of its staff.

Prior to the traditional handshake and the common meal offered by Management, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda commended the staff for their hard work toward CNSC's achievements in 2022. He also seized the occasion to announce flagship projects the institution hopes to realise in 2023, amongst which the opening of the CNSC trucker facility in Kousseri and Garoua-Boulai, as well as the laying of the foundation stone for the CNSC trucker accommodation centre in Ngaoundere. These will only come to add to the many other projects envisaged and all geared towards serving the interests of shippers.
