Cameroon's Minister of Transport, Mr. Jean Ernest Ngalle Bibehe Massena, today, 9 January 2024, presided over the opening ceremony of the 4th edition of the Cameroon-Chad-Central African Republic Tripartite Forum holding in Kribi, Cameroon. He was joined by his counterparts from Chad and the Central African Republic, with a host of guests and other participants in attendance.
This forum which is expected to draw close to 400 participants from Chad, the Central African Republic and Cameroon, mainly seeks to simplify procedures for transit cargo passing through Cameroon's ports.
Over the next three days, participants will be engaged in plenary sessions and three different workshops, tabling and seeking solutions to the problems encountered by Chadian and Central African road transporters using Cameroon's transit corridors when routing their goods through the ports of Douala and Kribi.
It is worth recalling that the first edition of this Forum was held in Yaoundé, Cameroon (2012), the second in Ndjamena, Chad (2017) and the third in Bangui, Democratic Republic of Congo (2021). Cameroon’s coastal city of Kribi is hereby restarting the cycle in 2024 with the hosting of the 4th edition of this Forum.
