CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

On the sidelines of the 9th African Shippers' Day (9th ASD) hosted by the Nigerian Shippers' Council from 16 to 17 January 2023 in Lagos, the Steering Committee of the Union of African Shippers' Councils (UASC) was in session today, 18 January 2023, in Nigeria's economic capital.

 

The session was chaired by Mr. William Kazumba Mayombo, UASC Chairman and General Manager of DRC's Multimodal Freight Management Office (OGEFREM), and was attended by many UASC member councils amongst which Angola, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, Congo, Gabon, Togo, Senegal, Niger, Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire and Nigeria, the host.

 

Cameroon was represented by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) through the presence of Mr. Pierre Madjo Ma Madjo, Director of Administration and Finance, attending on the behalf of Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, CNSC General Manager and statutory Treasurer of the Union.

 

Mr. Giscard Lilian Ogoula, UASC Secretary General, presented his activity report for 2022 and informed the Councils of an 81.25% achievement rate. While thanking the Councils for their contributions to the achievement of objectives set in 2022, Mr. Giscard Lilian Ogoula urged them to make more efforts toward the payment of outstanding contributions for the Union to function efficiently.
