Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) and Statutory Treasurer of the UASC, solemnly opened the proceedings of the Expert Committee of this specialised body of the Maritime Organisation of West and Central Africa (MOWCA). UASC Secretary General, Giscard Lilian Ogoula, took part in the proceedings presided over by the Nigerian Shippers' Council.
The purpose of the meeting, which ends tomorrow 09 June 2023, is to carry out in-depth reflections on the impact of high maritime transport costs on the activities of African shippers and to propose effective measures that will reduce these costs.
