Companies eligible for the various investment incentives put in place by the Government of Cameroon are required to file an annual tax expenditure statement detailing operations for which they have benefited from a tax exemption, allowance, reduction or any other tax relief measure, together with the corresponding theoretical taxes and levies.

This message from Finance Minister Louis Paul Motaze was made public via the National Radio station on 7 March 2024. In effect, the measure is in keeping with the application of the provisions of section 18 paragraph 4 of the General Tax Code.

The said declaration can be made online, within the same deadlines for the filing of statistical and tax declarations, i.e. 15 March 2024 for big companies, 15 April for small and medium-sized companies, and 15 May for micro companies.

For persons who might need assistance, a Help Desk has been set up and is accessible via the web portal of the Directorate General of Taxation, along with a toll-free number (8200) to facilitate the fulfilment of this obligation.
