The 8th session of the Douala Maritime Museum's "Fun and Educational Holiday for Kids" programme was devoted to environmental safety in aquatic environments.

The kids were treated to a projection prepared by Mr. Akoulouze Jean Parfait, coordinator of the session. The presentation aimed at explaining what pollution is and its consequences on the environment. Particular focus was placed on the constitution of planet earth, the consequences of pollution and environmental protection. This theoretical presentation was closely followed by MMD mini champions that made the kids all the more eager to go out for the practical session.

Under the supervision of the coordinators, the kids sorted out waste in different bins (recyclable, non-recyclable and organic waste). Afterwards, the holidaymakers had a blast at the plastic art workshop. The moderator, Mr. Beyene Arsène, taught them how to craft a shrimp by folding paper.
