Friday 5 July 2024 marked the official launch of the 15th edition of the Douala Maritime Museum's Fun and Educational Holiday Programme. This initiative by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), mainly for kids between the ages of 5 and 15, seeks to provide them with the necessary skills for their education, well-being, and to teach them good manners.
This 15th edition, brimming with fun and excitement, began with the cutting of the symbolic ribbon, followed by a word of welcome from Mr. Massoma Ngom Landry, Service Head at the Douala Maritime Museum.
The Fun and Educational Holiday Programme organised by the Douala Maritime Museum is an ideal way of boosting children's overall development. The programme offers a variety of activities, amongst which lessons in national languages, dancing, drawing, painting and paper sculpture, cultural activities, storytelling and clown shows.
This year, the kids will get a taste of the museum's most recent attractions, especially the new Storm Room and the virtual museum. These attractions have been offered to holidaymakers by the General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, to ensure the kids have a memorable experience at the Douala Maritime Museum during their holidays.
