CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Launched on Monday, 11 May 2026 in N'Djamena - Chad, the 5th Chad–Cameroon–CAR Tripartite Forum is focusing on ‘Facilitating transit along the Trans-Cameroonian Corridor’. The opening ceremony was presided over by the Chadian Minister of Transport, Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Mrs. Fadimatou Goukouni Weddeye, in the presence of the Cameroonian Minister of Transport, Mr. Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe, and the representative of the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of the CAR.

As a major player in trade facilitation in the sub-region, a delegation from the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC), led by its General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, is taking part in the proceedings.

Speaking at the event, Cameroon's Transport Minister outlined the various measures taken by the three countries to improve traffic flow along the corridor. Over the course of three days, port officials and stakeholders from the transport and logistics sectors will examine ways to facilitate the movement of goods and enhance security along this corridor, which constitutes a strategic route for trade between Cameroon and these two hinterland countries - Chad and the CAR.
